War On
Spyware
I just got my main computer back from the shop. After a couple of days
of worry and panic - no data was lost. It didn't really crash,
just shut down. The tech said he found 95 spyware systems running
in the background...I was shocked! Me who diligently runs
"Ad-Aware" and "Spybot" once a week, every week. I also have a
very good anti virus program which updates automatically. My machine
was safe and secure, so I thought, Ha, Ha, on me.
Hearing the results of the shutdown - overload - the hard drive just
couldn't handle it anymore, it decided to pull the plug, lucky for me,
I've decided to learn all I can about the insidious programs that
infiltrate our systems without our knowledge. Then just maybe another
shut down or crash that might be disastrous, can be avoided.
That being said this site is the result, it aims to inform all users
about the hazards and solutions of spyware, adware etc. The first
thing I learned is that you need more than one program to chase spyware
from your computer. You also need to run them everyday.
